An ancient wooden toy in the form of a horse on a platform with wheels. The horse is complete. It has both ears made of leather and a tail made of natural horsehair.
The construction is very stable. The wheels work flawlessly. The entire surface is covered with paint that has cracked over the years. What was supposed to fall off, did. The rest of the paint holds well to this sculpture made by human hands. It is a large figurine and quite heavy. Made of hardwood.
The platform on which the horse is mounted has two originally made holes. One was probably used to attach some kind of cart, the other to attach a string that was used to pull the toy. Today, the horse is a beautiful artifact of the past and an authentic collector’s item.
